My iMac M1 system is freezing when I go in to work on it.

When my screen freezes, I can't do anything to stop the freeze-up! My only way to combat it is to manually shut down my system and then restart. Since this is happening with not only me but also my wife who also has an iMac M1 system, it makes me wonder what is happening to cause this issue. I looked at my system logs but that didn't give me any clue how to fix it.

Using Automatic computer sleep mode is know to trigger problem for some.

As a test:

Turn On "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off"

Turn Off "Wake for network access"

Set "Start Screen Saver when inactive" to Never

Set "Turn display off when inactive" to 5 or 10 minutes

Leave the iMac On and only allow the display(s) to turn Off

Do not manually Sleep from the Apple Drop Down menu

Shut Down the iMac when not in use for a day or more

A solution may come, if folks complain.
