Unexpected connection issue via Personal Hotspot on iPhone 15 Pro Max after iOS 18.6 update

iPhone 15 ProMax updated to iOS 18.6 caused unexpected connection via personal hotspot. After three days of my spouses phone experiencing extremely slow internet connection, we found her iPhone SE 3 was connected to my hot spot. In two years it had not done that. Both phones had hotspot turned off. Corrected unexpected security issue by changing iPhone 15 ProMax to - “setting”> “hotspot”> “ family sharing “ turn off.

Thanks for responding. Not an email. As I understand email, anyway. It was in this site. From safari on iPhone 15 pro max. I was searching for a possible answer to my spouse’s phone just randomly connecting to the hotspot to my phone. She has SE-3. It caused her phone to be so slow, YouTube videos took forever to load. Upon investigation, it appeared both devices were connected to our WiFi as usual. Both our hotspots toggled off. However, there is a toggle inside of settings>hotspot>family share, that somehow was on and connected the phones. While I was looking to see if anyone else had this problem in here, i hit the back button in safari, on my phone, and that page came up. So, I found the answer to my original problem myself. After three days. A little bothered that it happened. No idea how, but it was after the 18.6 update. We’ve had these devices for sometime and did not have this issue before the update.
