M1 Studio Max just started having ethernet issues at startup
I have had zero issues until now. I am on Sequoia 15.6. I shutdown every night and boot up in the mornings. Been doing this for a few years, no issue. Recently since about a month, when I boot up, I get a self-assigned IP status under ethernet. I use DHCP. It always remains in that status despite renewing the lease, making the ethernet inactive and active. There is nothing on the mac side I can do to get it to get an IP address. The mac is connected to a managed switch. At first I thought perhaps the switch is acting up, but other devices on the switch can get an IP and work fine. What I found that worked initially was to unplug the switch, replug the switch and then the mac would get a IP address. Then it would be stable until the next boot up cycle. Lately, I have to unpower the switch and power it up more and more to get an IP address assigned. It used to be once, now it takes 3-4 cycles. I dont understand why rebooting the switch makes a difference, when rebooting the mac doesnt.
