how to turn off "require password after screensaver begins or display is turned ioff"

I have my macbook in a secure location and no one else in this household. I have to provide my password many times per day and this isn't necessary for me. I tried going into Lock Screen but it doesn't allow me to choose to opt out.

Ive seen this question posed to the Apple community but don't find a solution.

MacBook Air, macOS 15.6

On newer versions of macOS, the “Require password after screensaver begins or display is turned off” option is in System Settings > Lock Screen. Set “Require password after screen saver begins or display is turned off” to Never.

If it’s grayed out, click the Lock icon in the bottom left (or top right on macOS Ventura+), enter your admin password, then change it. If you’re using a work or school-managed Mac, your organization may enforce this setting through a profile, and you won’t be able to turn it off without removing that profile. You can check in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Profiles to see if one is installed.
