Disappearing emails in inbox on MacBook Air running macOS 15.6

On my MacBook Air, running15.6 (24G84), messages in my INBOX disappear after reading. Not happening on my iPad or iPhone. Started about two weeks ago.

Some of the messages will go to TODAY file and then disappear from there. This is an email issue not text. Thanks.
