Insufficient bass on Apple HomePod

Question

I just bought the HomePod today and while it goes loud and sounds good it doesn’t feel like it has base anyone else have this experience?

Wondering if you are using the HomePod with an Apple device or Apple computer, and / or headphones:

Eg: On iPhone or iPad you can check whether "Reduce the bass" is turned on or off.

In the "Home app"

First tap on HomePod,

Tap

Reduce the bass: Turn on Reduce Bass to reduce the low frequency output of HomePod.
