My iMac 2021 has persistent gray horizontal lines on bottom section of screen blurring view

3 days ago, my iMac 2021 starting showing persistent (and sometimes flickering) gray horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen. I tried much troubleshooting but no luck. It's not a software issues as screenshots don't show it. It's actually a screen issue. Reading any type of text behind the lines is almost impossible. Picture attached.

You are correct. This is a hardware issue as you now know after visiting the long thread at > Persistent horizontal lines appear on iMa… - Apple Community

Also note: that this is Apples User to User forum and there is nothing that we can do to fix it.

Best bet is to have it looked at by your local Apple Store or AASP and then decide on one of three solutions.

1) pay to replace the display panel.

2) connect an external display to the iMac and use it.

3) Replace the 24” iMac with a new iMac or Mac mini and external display.
