iPod 4th Gen Not Syncing After macOS Sequoia 15.6 Update – Finder Shows ‘Device Could Not Be Found’ Error

After updating to macOS Sequoia 15.6, my iPod 4th Gen (Classic) won’t sync via Finder. The device is recognized and shows ‘Eject before disconnecting,’ but the sync page just hangs on ‘Loading…,’ then displays ‘The device could not be found.’ The iPod ejects properly, but both Finder and Music app fail to sync. This issue started with the 15.4 update, and seems to affect others too. If you have this issue, please reply below and submit feedback to Apple (use Feedback Assistant or Apple’s feedback page). I've seen this issue shared by others on Reddit and other forums, but it needs to be shared with Apple, too. If you’re experiencing similar problems with classic iPod sync on macOS Sequoia 15.6, please reply and submit feedback to Apple.

This has been reported across the internet by users and do far, the only solution is to revert back to 15.3.1:

Did that with a Time Machine backup and it’s working again.

please submit a bug report so Apple can take care of this.
