Random photos from my phone or not being replicated through the cloud to my iMac.

I have 28,000 photographs from but I also seem to have sufficient storage on my iPhone and on the cloud. I can take 50 photographs and give them day perhaps only 35 of them, seemingly randomly selected, make it to my iMac. I can take 10 pictures of the same object in the same location and sometimes several of them do not make it from my phone to my iMac.

can I hook up my iPhone to my iMac and download the stragglers that way? Thanks.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.6

This is difficult to read and I'm not of stuff that might be missing, so I'm not sure what you mean. But I would suggest you look at Photos iCloud.com to see if what is there is what you expect.

Do you have at least 10% of your storage free at iCloud and on your devices?

iCloud synchronization and cable transfers are incompatible. You can use AirDrop to send pictures from your phone to your Mac, and then import them to Photos.

Do you use "Optimize" with Photos?
