Pages offline (from iPad) not saving my work?!
HALP!
I am away from my hometown (= office with a desktop) for a few days, and I've been working on a document from my iPad. Sometimes I have internet, sometimes not, but I'll just work on this document whenever I have a moment.
As per my understanding, I can edit the document both online and offline, and changes will automatically be saved on the iPad version. Within my rationale, whatever I change while on the iPad will be uploaded to the cloud version of the file whenever I connect.
In other words, as long as I work from my iPad only, everything will be loyal to my edits.
However, today, after having worked on the document for 2 hours yesterday, I noticed that one of the images I deleted yesterday was still there. I then went to double check all the additions I made in those 2 hours, and poof, none of them is there!!!!!
Have I lost all the changes I made in those 2 hours???
If so, how does this logic make sense? If I don't save the changes on my iPad (while there's no save command anywhere), everything will be deleted next time I go online???
This document is a full business plan, and those who know what it is also know that ideas are the most crucial element. I have an idea, add it there and then to the appropriate section, and keep expanding it later.
Losing changes like that is a huge loss, not only in time, but also because some ideas pop up at a given moment and are lost forever afterwards if you don't note them down.
Do I have a way to retrieve earlier versions of the file?
HAAAALP!
EDIT: After triple checking, I noticed that SOME of the changes I made yesterday were saved, but not all. Did I work on some other version of the document that the iPad created on its own??
