Laggy window resizing in Spotify and WhatsApp on MacBook Pro M4

Using Activity Monitor >> View >> View ALL processes >> CPU Tab or >> Memory Tab

At are the top 4 or 5 processes that are running ?

A Screen Shot would be helpful

Then post back using the " Image Insertion " ( looks like a TV Screen )

I agree, it sounds like you have a resource issue.

In other words, you have more stuff loaded than the Mac can handle.

Another good way to sort out resource issues is to use EtreCheckPro.

Empty Space is not an issue

Though both of these application will have a Negative impact

This is may not be an individual Application be the combination of applications, some loading at startup

Don't know why so much people are just saying it's a resources issue. I have a M4 Pro MacBook Pro 24gb ram. With nothing running Spotify and a few other apps have very laggy resizing animations in particular.

About the same except for Spotify, Spotify Helper ( GPU ), You Tube , WhatsApp

What I do not see in your image is WindowServer which seems ODD.
