Trackpad click problem

Whenever I click on the track pad it behaves like command + click. I am unable to open any icon or select any thing. I could reach this page by clicking Option + Tab. My MacBook has been updated to Sequoia 15.6 recently. I have tried checking Accessibility settings and no sticky key has been selected. I have also checked the Trackpad settings and no Secondary click option problem exists.

Please help.

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

From SafeBoot see your >System Settings>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts>Modifier keys and restore defaults
