Double-clicking required to switch between Safari and Google Chrome on MacBook Air

If both Safari 18.6 and Chrome 139 have both been already opened, when I switch between the two I always need to double click my Apple mouse to get back to my open windows. Any way in Settings to fix this?

Until you have moved your focus ( Mouse in this case ) onto or into the Application of Choice

You do need to single click onto or into the application of choice

Quickly switch between app windows

On your Mac, do any of the following:

  • Switch to the previous app: Press Command-Tab.
  • Scroll through all open apps: Press and hold the Command key, press the Tab key, then press the Left or Right arrow key until you get to the app you want. Release the Command key.
  • If you change your mind while scrolling through the apps and don’t want to switch apps, press Esc (Escape) or the Period key, then release the Command key.
