iMessage responses from prior day not syncing on MacBook Air

I have a 2018 MacBook Air 13" as well as an iPhone 13. I went on my MacBook Air this morning after not turning it on all of yesterday. I noticed that my iMessages sent to people in my contacts yesterday were not syncing, but their responses to me were showing up. My iMessages to the people in my contacts from yesterday are showing up normally on my iPhone 13. Anyone know how to fix this issue on my Macbook Air?
