Apple Music "New Music" Notifications never work

You must have something not turned on correctly as pretty much have multiple notifications on the a daily basis on artists that I have starred as favourites in the top right hand corner of each artist.

If I’m not wrong I am sure that this is how the notification system works so as Apple Music know what musicians etc you enjoy listening to, the algorithm will then send you notifications on that musician and similar musicians.

Yes I am subscribed to Apple Music. You can still use the Music app to play music synced from your computer, play iTunes Store purchases, and listen to Apple Music radio for free. You can also receive notifications about new music releases, but these may be less frequent or may not be tied to specific artists you follow.

To manage notifications, you can go to the Music app, tap your profile picture, and then select "Notifications" to enable or disable new music notifications.

On a Mac, you can manage notifications by going to System Settings > Notifications, then selecting Music and adjusting the settings. 

Apple Music does not offer a direct subscription to individual artists for notifications.

make sure that New Music Notifications is turned on in the Apple Music app > Listen Now > Tap your profile picture > Notifications. If New Music Notifications is already turned on, turn New Music Notifications off, then back on
