Apple Pencil Pro pairing removes tracking in Find My on iPad Pro
> I lost my previous Apple Pencil Pro. It was already registered in Find My, and I thoroughly searched the last known location but couldn’t find it.
>
>
> I decided to buy a new Apple Pencil Pro. I deliberately did **not** unpair or remove the old one from Find My so that I could detect any unauthorized use.
>
> But when I tried to pair the new Pencil, I got this warning:
>
> *"New Apple Pencil Pro detected. Pairing this Pencil will unpair and remove your previous Apple Pencil Pro from this iPad and Find My."*
>
> This means pairing a new Pencil **automatically kills tracking for the old one**.
>
> If that’s the case, what’s the point of “Find My” for the Apple Pencil Pro? This completely undermines its purpose and feels like a fake security feature. I’m extremely disappointed.
>
> Is anyone else frustrated by this? Why design it this way?
