Personal hotspot requires restart to connect

I'm using a MacBook and I'm trying to connect to my iphone's hotspot. Every time, it says its successfully connected, but when I try to visit any websites, it shows I don't have internet. The only solution I've found is to just restart my iphone and then connect all again. Is there any fix for this? Why is this happening?
