How to automatically split expenses in Numbers?

This form works well for a few lines. I put in the amount each person pays for each item. I press the TAB button and the last column automatically divides the amount in two to indicate what each person owes. But after a few entries, it stops entering numbers in the last column, Expenses per person. It is supposed to split the amount entered in the Amount column. It is frustrating to have to figure it out and enter it manually.

Is there a way to fix this?

When you add rows to the Expenses table the formula in the Expense per Person column should fill down automatically.

To add a row just position the cursor any where in the last row above the Footer Row (shaded at bottom) and hit the Return key.

If you are still having trouble after trying that (starting over with the original template) then you could try posting a screenshot here. shift-command-4, drag to select area, release, start new post here and use the mountains-and-moon 'Image insertion' icon beneath the compose window to add the screenshot from the Desktop.
