iCloud Photos stopped syncing on Windows 11 PC

iCloud Photos are visible on iPhone & iPad and even on iCloud.com. But not on my PC iCloud Photos folder for photos after 31 July 2025. The iCloud app shows the iCloud Drive has updated but the iCloud Photos not since 31/07/25.

I have stopped and restarted the app and have even deleted it and reinstalled over the last few days. This is a recent problem. Before it has synched correctly for many years.

Any clever people got any ideas? TIA

I managed to uninstall icloud and had to change the folder to which I'd sync my photos to. I have my App icon for photos back and sync is working now.

I don't have the answer but have the same issue. I think mine started after the latest Windows update, but not sure since my issue started at same time as yours did. I can't even find a way to uninstall or reinstall. When I click on download it says I have the latest icloud version, but can't find the app in my programs. All I see are icons instead of small thumbnails for the photos and my usual icloud photos is now a folder instead of a rainbowish round symbol in my pictures folder. I have sync on, I have purchased extra apple storage etc etc. Photos won't load.
