How can I restore documents on my iPhone?

If you did not save your pictures to your computer or somewhere else, then they are gone and you will never get them back. Set your phone up for an automatic download every night going forward so you are protected.

No. If your pictures were stored only on your phone, and you then wiped your phone, there is no way for you to get your pictures back. They are gone.

Using iCloud Photos could have saved your photos. If you did not want to use iCloud Photos for some reason – but you were making automatic iCloud backups that included photos (an alternative), that could have saved the photos, too. If you were dong neither of those things, and also were not backing up your photos manually, they are gone.

I would suggest, going forward, that you

• Turn on automatic iCloud backups
• Turn on iCloud Photos
• Make sure that you have enough iCloud space (subscribe to an iCloud+ plan if necessary)

If you have a Mac, I would also suggest

• Turning on iCloud Photos there, with the system set to store full-size local copies of all photos and videos
• Making local backups of the Mac on external hard drives or external SSDs

This won't get back the pictures that you lost by wiping your non-backed-up phone, but it might save you from a repeat of this, or a similar, disaster in the future.

Did you try to restore your most recent backup?

As noted, anything that was not saved from your phone is gone and cannot be found.

No. You can't get them back because there is no place to get them back from.
