Cannot play downloaded movies in Apple TV app on my new MacBook

I recently just purchased a new Macbook pro with the m4 pro chip and went about downloading some of my favorite movies I had digit versions of. Much to my current frustration is that not a single one works when downloaded. When attempting to play the downloaded movie, the movie opens for a split second before immediately closing with no error message. I have tried many solutions including: reauthorizing my computer, quitting the AppleTv app, re-downloading the movie (Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade) several times, and restarting my mac. I know for a fact these movies work downloaded as I have downloaded via AppleTv on my Iphone. Any solutions or guidance would be. much appreciated as I'm quite frustrated not being able to watch my movies without streaming.
