Transferring music to iPod Classic Gen 5 using Anytrans

I'm trying to move music to my iPod Classic gen 5 using the latest version of Anytrans and Music on my Mac Mini 2020 M1 (OS Sequoia 15.6). When I plug iPod into the Mini, Anytrans gives the message "Trying to connect. Please wait a few minutes...", but the connection never completes even after waiting an hour. There's no issue with Music connecting with the iPod, just Anytrans. I was able to move the music using my old Mini so it's not the iPod. I've ordered a new cable per the Anytrans support team's suggestion.

Is there a setting that I need to change on the Mini to allow Anytrans to connect to the iPod?
