Can I change photo order in camera roll on my iPhone 15?

So I took a picture and it’s at the bottom of my camera roll and my iPhone is new so idk and I’ve never had an iPhone before sooo I have an iPhone 15 anyone know how to change it

It is true that new photos appear at the end of your Library or Photos view by default, but that's also where that view opens by default, so you see the new photos first. (That will be in the middle of the screen before the albums, maps, collections, and other extracts from the library in the Photos view. Many aspects of that latter part of the view are adjustable.)


By the way, iPhone doesn't really have a Camera Roll these days, if you mean a collection limited to photos and videos actually recorded on this iPhone with the Camera app.

As markwmsn says the newest pictures are in the very middle of the Photos View:

That's surely the most convenient place!


But you can choose whether "newest' means most "Recently Captured," or most Recently Added" to your phone by sorting in the Library View:

The arrows button at the bottom left opens the "Sort" menu, and you can choose which recents you want to appear in that middle section of the Photos view.


Notice that there is a "Filter" in that menu, and with that you can have only certain kinds of pictures show.


Does this make sense?
