My iPad hangs when i clear history (even only one website)

I have iPad 9th generation(64gb, wifi only) , and my Safari browser is updated to latest version.

When I go to Safari/Clear History... and click on the Clear History button, Safari freezes up and i cant even go back and search anything. I have to Force Quit Safari and re-open the browser minimum 4 to 5 times. When I re-open the browser, I can see that my history was cleared. It always happens even when i clear a single wbsite,

i can share a screen video or anything you want.

Also my ipad version is 18.6 (latest till date in india). And also my ipad has 24 gb storage available and it was purchased after january 2025.

I can give much info if you want. Any idea why this might be happening? Thanks for any assistance.
