I have an iPad mini which is still useful for some apps that offer the old version. Wondering what if there’s something better I can do with it. The battery seems to be holding charge for over 45 days on standby. Is that normal for old iPads?

If your iPad is retaining sufficient battery charge for 45 days while simply locked and otherwise unused, the battery is essentially healthy. If fully shut-down, a fully charged battery will likely retain is charge for considerably longer - potentially for many months.
my old ipad has a standby time of 1,111 hours. is this normal.
