How can I fix link issues in Apple Books EPUB file on macOS?

Bug Description:

In Apple Books on macOS Sonoma (14 and 15), when clicking multiple times on links in the Table of Contents of a valid EPUB file, the navigation becomes misplaced and jumps to incorrect locations in the book.

Details:

• The EPUB has been validated and contains properly coded HTML anchors and references.
• The issue occurs after repeated TOC link clicks, even though the same EPUB works correctly in other EPUB readers.
• This behavior disrupts reading flow and makes navigation unreliable.

Please investigate and resolve this issue in a future update.
