Apple TV as Home Hub

Given the unreliability of my Home Pod Mini, it's really not fit for purpose as a Home Hub. Too frequently it disconnects from WiFi and needs to be added back in with the App, necessitating a visit to its location.

I understand that Apple TV Generation 4 devices can function as a Home Hub. This makes me think that an Ethernet connected Apple TV box might be a more reliable option as a Home Hub than the Home Pod Mini.

I'd appreciate any feedback re using an Apple TV box as a Home Hub running unattended 24/7.

I've always used appletv firs the HD model and later on the 4k model as homekit hubs never had issues with them, but then nor have I had issues with my homepod in general or my wifi lan network in general

Thanks. From online comments it looks as if Home Pod is not generally and issue but its not uncommon for Home Pod Mini users to experience issues.

I think I'll pick up a second hand Apple TV 4K and try that.
