My iPad is registered to my email. I have checked and it is still there.
a pop up keeps saying I just update apple account settings. When I go to that it asks for the password to my partner’s account. This happens with the App Store as well.
we have logged into Apple TV with my partners email and password.
how do I ensure my email is shown when I am asked to update?

On your iPad open Settings, then tap your name at the top. Scroll down to Media & Purchases and tap that. You should be able to Sign Out there, then sign back into your account.

Probably not a good idea to try to delete the partner's account. Presumably they still want to use it.
