Logic Pro abruptly stops audio recording when the input is loud

I was recording backup vocals for a project when suddenly this issue appeared out of nowhere.

While recording audio, within moments of the audio getting loud, Logic abruptly stops recording and pauses playback. If the audio is quiet, the glitch does not occur and recording continues.

I have scoured forums for similar issues, and my issue is NOT solved by selecting "Standard" Mic Mode after clicking on the yellow microphone icon on the top bar.

• I have tried restarting my computer
• I have tried multiple audio interfaces
• I have tried opening a new project
• I have tried disabling plugins
• I have tried reinstalling Logic Pro
• I have tried swapping between "Voice Isolation" mic mode and "Standard" mic mode.

Again, the issue appeared out of nowhere after I had already been recording with no issues for over an hour. Suddenly, I am completely unable to record.

If anyone has a solution, I would be eternally grateful.
