iPad Files favourites disappear

I saw a post at IPad favorites in Files App Disappear and… - Apple Community

and had the same issue, but it's been closed and the issue is still there. It's still being reported on Reddit as an issue and there's no fix?

Seriously? This ought to have been addressed by now.
