I have a number of AirTags and also Home accessories.
Wouldn't it be great if Home automations could be triggered by the presence of an AirTag, for example?
It seems to me that there's a chunk of missing integration between Finder and Home.
Would really like to have an AirTag in the car activate outside lights when arriving.
Is there a third party application that integrates AirTag and Home in the absence of native integration?
It seems to me that since the AirTag location is known, that information could be used to trigger automation; essentially geofencing AirTag location.
If it is possible to trigger an automation based on the location of an iPhone, it's not obvious to me how to do this.
The Home app allows triggering based on arriving Home, but I'm uncertain what defines the boundary and presume that this is the presence of the iPhone in range of Home accessories.
You can trigger automatons using the AirTag as a NFC beacon. But, things like using one to trigger an arrival scene isn't really practical; those would trigger using your iPhone.
