My iPad “dies”, even when the battery is high.

So for the past few days, my iPad has had this issue where it randomly dies, says it’s dead when I try to turn it on, eventually turn on, and “die” again when I try to charge it. Even when the battery is over 50%, too. Can someone help me?

As described, your iPad battery may have a fault, or may be reaching the end of its usable life. If the battery has failed or is failing, the iPad may unexpectedly turn-off - or may not successfully boot to a running state even when connected to its Power Adapter.

Are you able to use the iPad while remaining connected to your Power Adapter? If yes, while monitoring the indicated battery state, disconnect the Power Adapter; if the indicated battery state suddenly falls, or the iPad shuts-off, this test demonstrates the iPad battery having reached the end of its usable life:

Hey! I hear you’re having some trouble with your iPad. That can be really annoying, right? I’ve been there too! Let’s try to figure this out together.

A Few Things to Consider

  1. Force Restart: Sometimes, just giving the iPad a little reset can do wonders. Have you tried that? It’s usually pretty simple and can clear up random glitches.
  2. Software Updates: Keeping it updated can really help with performance. If you haven’t checked in a bit, it might be worth a look.
  3. Battery Check: If you're noticing poor battery life, you might want to see how it’s holding up. Sometimes, that can be the root of the issue!
  4. Charging Situation: Have you tried different chargers or outlets? It’s easy to overlook a faulty cable sometimes.
  5. Restoring: If things are still funky, restoring your iPad could help. But don’t worry, you can back everything up first.

If any of this sounds like something you’d like to try, let me know!
