What should I do if I cracked the hinge on my MacBook

Guys to all of you MacBook users out there, I have never cracked my hinge in all of my years of using MacBook I have no idea what to do and I'm sorry I can't provide the picture of my MacBook, so I got one off the Internet. I cracked the hinge on the right side between the words, MacBook Air, and the very right side of the hinge.

Fixing a Cracked Mac:

If you've cracked the bezel or hinge of your Mac, then you should get these pieces replaced, as shattered plastic and glass can be of great bodily harm. What's the date and model of your Mac? If more than 4 years old, I'd take this as a good reason the get a much newer Mac --one with a Silicon Processor, as Intel Processor Macs now have only 2.5 years remaining for possible software updates. Apple tends to provide updates for 7 years, and then discontinues providing them. On top of this, consider getting AppleCare for this, as it now covers Liquid Spills (but with a fee).

  1. Go Here: AppleCare - Apple
  2. As it Reads: Repairs for other accidental damage Other accidents like liquid damage are covered, anytime you need, with a flat fee.

Contacting an AASP:

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller - Apple
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone

"What should I do if I cracked the hinge on my MacBook: It's five years old it's a MacBook Air but to be honest, I don't really want to get a new computer but thanks for the suggestion. Is there a way I can replace it or ask a professional to replace it"

Finding a Professional to Replace this:

Take this to an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider). Being there are no Apple Stores in you area, they'd be whom to go through.

Contacting an AASP:

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller - Apple
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the Mac.

For Note:

Use of a Sleeve: So, what I use is a sleeve, and then I take it out of it, when I need to use my Mac. Once done using my Mac, I let it cool for a bit, and then close the screen, placing it back in the sleeve. So, consider using one.  What I use: MOSISO Laptop Sleeve - Amazon
