Messages Tapbacks on Mac are in Spanish text

Suddenly Messages Tapbacks on my Mac are in Spanish text and not emoji (on iPad and iPhone all are correct emoji) (macOS Monterey 12.7.6 up to date - other than switching to macOS Sequoia 15.6)

Double checked and English is still at top in Language & Region preferences (Spanish isn't even in second place)

Keyboard U.S. on top with US International - PC second down Latin American at bottom (6th) place

Very strange. I know users have experienced this on the iPhones.
