Potential solution for random cursor lag/stutter with bluetooth mouse on Mac OS
I've experienced occasional cursor lag/stutter using my bluetooth mouse with external USB receiver. This is for any bluetooth mouse, including my Logitech G604 and G305, Asus Gladius III, and Razer Basilisk X.
Troubleshooting
Possible solutions suggested using a 5 GHz WIFI frequency, because the 2.4 GHz bluetooth frequency may have interfered with the 2.4 GHz WIFI frequency. That wasn't it.
Another solution suggested interference between multiple connected bluetooth devices, such as using both a bluetooth headset and mouse. That wasn't it either.
Identified Issue
The issue is heat. The external bluetooth receiver was warm to the touch, and so, this caused signal degradation (flipping bits), resulting in the stutter/lag.
Solution
My solution was to use two separate external USB hubs to avoid heat as much as possible, since the issue of heat persisted if using a single external USB hub for all my external devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse, HDMI).
This solution may not apply to similar reported issues, however, this helped resolve my case of cursor lag/stutter.
