problems streaming pandora to my homepods through my ipad mini

It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens often enough that it's very frustrating. The title is self-explanatory. Pandora will play to my iPad, but when I then try to stream it to the several HomePods, it sometimes connects and plays, and it often doesn't (even though it will indicate, on the Home app, that it is playing). The only solution seems to be to reboot the iPad. Any thoughts on what might be going on here? My internet connection is solid, I don't think that's the issue.

It can sometimes be the internet even though it appears to be working well on all devices. Rebooting your wifi by unplugging the modem for 30 seconds wouldn’t hurt to do that.

  • update the software on all devices, iPad and HomePods.

  • make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (Settings > Wi-Fi) as your HomePod.
  • In Find My settings, make sure My Location is set to This Device on your iPhone or iPad. Go to Settings  > [your name] > Find My, then set My Location to This Device. Tap on My Location to change to iPad if you see it says iPhone for example
