Taking pictures and sending in messages automatically saves to camera roll, how do I turn that off?

When I take a picture in my messages app, it automatically saves to my camera roll. How do I turn this off?

Ok. It’s annoying to do every single time as I work in operations and send pictures constantly. Obviously I already do this but I posted asking for help.

I suppose most people wouldn't have the same issue as you as they may not use their personal phone for work. But delete the photos, you'll have to continue to do.

The thing is, pictures you take don't ever really exist in the Camera app-- when you take a picture, it has to go somewhere! And that's the Photos app. Think how mad people would get (and how many posts would appear here) if, when you took a picture, it took one more step every time to tell it where you wanted it to go!

If you thing it would be helpful to be able to designate an alternate destination for your picture, let Apple know here:

Feedback - Photos - Apple

It might spur some thinking there, but honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath…
