iPhone with iCloud disabled reports syncing error
I've an iPhone 16+ (MXUT3LL/A) using iOS 18.5 (22F76).
Its Settings app has an error code, both on its home screen Settings icon (where a red circle reads 1) and in the main Settings menu which has an error that reads Some iCloud Data Isn't Syncing. When selected, there is a more verbose explanation of the non-syncing with the option Resume Data Sync.
I've all iCloud options disabled, thus this error message is extraneous.
I realize that some type of syncing may have begun even before I had disabled all iCloud options. I cannot determine what this syncing addressed, and I would cancel it, plus I wish to erase all of the already-transferred data (which seems to amount to 30.3 kilobytes).
Let us not enable iCloud, even temporarily for the sake of completing this alleged interrupted transfer and then purging the transferred data and re-disabling iCloud. Yet if that is the only answer, then I would enable only the specific category of data (Passwords, Drive, Photos, Drive, Messages, iCloud backup, and so forth) of which the transfer has been interrupted.
Ideally, we would dismiss this error message in a way which does not include any step that would require us to enable, activate, execute, or operate iCloud.
Thank you, for your time and attention.
