Sidecar can't connect wirelessly due to unavailable iPad Wi-Fi

I can not get Sidecar to work , with or without a cable and keep getting this message " Sidecar can’t connect wirelessly because your iPad’s Wi‑Fi is not available. To use Sidecar wirelessly, turn on Wi‑Fi and make sure it is not in use for Personal Hotspot. " i pad and laptop are on the same network , with the same ID , running 15.5 and OS 18.5 on the iPad , please help

Do you have two-factor authentication enabled?

Try to reboot your Wi-Fi router. You may also want to install macOS Sequoia 15.6 and iPadOS 18.6.

Note: I assume that both devices use the same Apple Account?

Do I need to do this if I’m trying to use a cable, yes both devices use the same apple account
