Search bar reverting to previous listing name on my iPhone Safari app
Hi everyone!
We’re experiencing an issue with a business’s Google listing that only appears in mobile search results within the United States, specifically when using Safari on iPhones. It doesn’t occur on desktop, nor does it happen when searching from other countries or on other browsers.
Here’s what’s happening:
When a user in the U.S. searches for the business on mobile and clicks on the “Reviews” tab in the search result, the business name shown in the search bar reverts to the old business name instead of displaying the current, correct name.
We’ve tested this in other countries (Spain and Brazil), and in those cases, the correct name displays as expected. On desktop, everything also works fine. The issue seems isolated to Safari mobile browsers in the U.S..
I’ve been going back and forth with Google support for over a month. They’ve mostly recommended clearing cache and cookies, but that hasn’t resolved it — and now they’ve stopped responding.
Here’s a quick Loom video showing what we’re seeing: https://www.loom.com/share/bd17f771fba94375a66a6e55d9b506ca
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance — we really appreciate any guidance on next steps!
