Unable to connect to specific WiFi network on my MacBook Pro

Hi, i am visiting family abroad and can’t connect to their wifi though it says it is connected. I had the same issue last year but forgot how i managed to connect. It is only this particular network because i don’t have issues connecting to wifi on other places.

Launch a browser and enter this easy to remember all-numeric IP address:

1.1.1.1

in the address bar,  and press return.

If you get the CloudFlare** splash page, your internet is working, but DNS lookup may not be working.

**CloudFlare is NOT part of the solution, they just own the easiest to remember all-numeric IP Address.

you may have to enter appropriate DNS numbers in the Wi-Fi setup to make progress..
