Hi all, today my son has noticed a slight outward warp in the centre casing cover of the screen between the hinges? How has this occurred - it is outward so not from pressure from outside if the MacBook m2 - it is not old enough to be having issues and far too expensive to have design faults?

While unusual, design faults can happen on any device, no matter how expensive or new. However I do believe that if it came out of the box this way, you should have noticed by now.
An outward bend of the display could be caused by trying to close the computer with an object resting on the top case/keyboard.
Looks like someone sat on it.
That’s what I thought. Note that the entire computer is bent. Not just the display.
Yes, looking at the image rather than just the OP's words, that's a bent computer. Not a design flaw, simple mistreatment.
