Yahoo Mail in the IOS Mail app keeps asking for a password

Yahoo mail on the built in Apple mail app has also caused issue, they want you to use their Yahoo app.

You'll need to work the issue out with Yahoo support.

Got the same run around on my macbook about password not correct this was about 3 to 4 years ago.

Had issue with it on my XS max and just gave up and installed the yahoo app.

Install and use their app, be less of a hassles.

Knocking on wood, we’ve not had significant issues retrieving Yahoo mail into iPadOS mail. (Do realize that you’re asking about iOS)

However we HAVE had to - on infrequent occasions - remove and re-add the Yahoo account.

All “password setting” for Yahoo is configured in Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts.
