Chrome on Mac stops after a few sites and needs daily reinstallation

Hello!

We have a handful of Mac users in our company that have been having issues with Google Chrome staying installed. Everyday our users log into their Mac the issues occurs. Chrome will allow them to open a web pages of web pages, however after opening the 3rd or 4th website, chrome will no longer load pages. The only way we have to fix it is for the user to reinstall chrome. This has persisted for multiple users everyday for the past 2ish months and a permanent fix would be very helpful. Has anyone else had this issue and if so do you know a fix? Please let me know if I can provide any more information about the issue.

How can anyone here fix a problem that may be unique to your site? Pretty big ask for a non-Apple browser product. Presumably, you have the current versions of Chrome without relief from this problem?

Are you using any remote management software to control user application versions, installations, or configurations? If so, you might start there, and then see if there is a common Chrome browser add-on with those users that are reporting these Chrome issues.

For me, I never use Google Chrome. Only current versions of Safari, Firefox, or Brave. I have no issues as you report with any of them.

You could test by replacing Chrome with the Brave Browser. Added bonus, no Google tracking everything entered into the browser.

Our users have reported that browsers like Firefox have not had issues. Which is know is not based on Chromium, but we at least know its not affecting all non-safari browsers. I could have them test with Brave, but some of our users prefer Chrome and would like a fix. Thank you for responding!

These devices are not enrolled into ABM or any MDM platform. They do have an EDR and RMM applications installed on them. The EDR has not indicated that it is blocking or intervening with Chrome in any way as far as I can tell.

I posted on this forum as the problem is unique to Mac products. I was hoping maybe there was an obvious answer I missed or others have experienced similar issues and could help. Chrome is the most up to date version.

We are not managing these devices via an MDM. We do have an RMM and EDR as I have mentioned in another comment which could potentially cause an issue. However, as of what I have found thus far, neither the RMM or EDR should be conflicting with with chrome. I can continue to look.

I use Chrome on my MBP (Sequoia) daily and have never seen this problem. Are these managed computers?
