Sleep tracking stops tracking if you wake up in the middle of the night

Apple Watch stops monitoring sleep states if you wake up in the middle of the night to drink water and take a while back to sleep. It assumes you stopped sleeping and is set for the day. It also never tracks sleeps out of the strict scheduled window, so no monitoring for days overslept and afternoon naps.

Please, excuse the stupid name, I’ve set it as a teenager 15 years ago and can’t change it
