As this is a user to user only forum, we couldn't possibly know why your watch is disconnecting from your iPhone. I'd recommend scheduling an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and take both your iPhone and watch with you and apple can run diagnostics to determine if there is a hardware issue. Apple Watch 6 was released almost 6 years ago, so the battery could be failing at this point. Let Apple check it out.

Thanks for the suggestion. The watch battery is almost degraded enough to replace. Found out my iphone battery does need to be replaced.
Having two degraded batteries will certainly cause such issues. And you're welcome.
