How to clean up MP3 files in my TMP folder?

While I was trying to organize my Music files, I stumbled on a folder of mp3 files that’s eating up a ton of space.

It’s in this path: Library>Containers>ThumbnailExtension_MacOS>Data>tmp

The folder contains 367 items, at 40.17 GB.

The file names look like this: F9D26A67-F2E4-482A-BD19-E8ADBEB96572.mp3

They were created on four separate days of 2024: Feb. 25, May 21, Jun 1, Sep 12.

Is this related to the problem created when one syncs devices and then shuts down before the files are uploaded to the cloud? I think I did that, which created a mess — lots of duplicate views and files in Apple Music. It was as I was trying to tidy up that mess that I came on the tmp folder.
