My keyboard on my MacBook Pro 13" from 2023 is suddenly not working? Can anyone help?

I have tried almost everything, but it’s like the startup don’t recognize the keyboard?

The different buttons as Control, Shift a.o. Is working, but not the rest?

what is " a.o. " ?

Plug in an external keyboard and compare your results...

if the external keyboard works as expected it points to a hardware failure.

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Something a failing battery swells. It's easy to check at home.

Symptoms, in addition to unexpected trackpad and/or keyboard behavior:

— The gap between the display and the deck is not even when the display is closed.

— The gap between the bottom plate and chassis is uneven in places.

— Some of the screws that hold the bottom plate have popped out.

— The trackpad surface is higher than the surrounding deck surface.

— The computer "rocks" a bit on a known flat surface†.

† — I find solid-surface and granite countertops very effective flat test surfaces.
