How can I lock down my iPad to only allow the Notes app for use in class?

Hey everyone, I'm a student and I’m trying to turn my iPad into a completely distraction-free device that I can use just for taking notes in class. Basically, I want it to work like a simple digital notebook — kind of like a reMarkable or Supernote — but since I already have an iPad, I want to make the most of it without all the extra distractions.

What I’m trying to do is block everything on the iPad except for the built-in Notes app. I don’t want access to Safari, the App Store, games, YouTube, or any other apps. Ideally, I’d also like to block web browsing or online distractions. I want the iPad to do one thing and one thing only: take notes. If possible, I’d even like to disable installing or deleting apps, turn off notifications, and block Wi-Fi or Bluetooth if that’s doable.

The main problem is that I want this setup to be something I can’t easily undo. Most of the options I’ve seen (like Screen Time) rely on a passcode, but the truth is, if I set the passcode, I’ll probably just end up unlocking it whenever I get bored. So I’m hoping there’s a way to set this up where I literally can’t go back and change it — or at least something close to that. I’m open to using built-in settings, third-party apps, or any creative workarounds people have used to force their iPad into “single-purpose” mode.

Has anyone else done something like this? I’d really appreciate any ideas or detailed steps if you’ve managed to make your iPad a truly distraction-free device. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, I’m aware of Guided Access, and it’s definitely useful for locking the iPad into a single app. However, my main challenge is that Guided Access can be exited with a passcode, which I would set myself—so I might end up disabling it when I get distracted. Also, my college requires that devices have no access to any apps other than Notes, so I’m looking for a more permanent or tamper-proof way to restrict the iPad.

If you know of any settings or tools that can make these restrictions more secure or managed by someone else, I’d love to hear about them!
