Deleting iPad videos while iCloud Photos sync is off: Will it delete from iCloud storage?
Hi, I’ve just turned off iCloud Photos sync on my iPad and deleted all videos (about 4000+ of them) from my Photos app, then deleted all of those videos from the Recently Deleted folder as well. I did this because I needed more space for the iPad update.
Now having done all that, if I turn on ICloud Photos again now or anytime in the future, will it delete all those videos from my ICloud storage (and across all my other iCloud devices)?
If yes, and I want to make sure all those videos will not be deleted from iCloud forever, and also at some point in time turn on ICloud Photos sync on my current iPad again (or on a new iPad that I might get), what are my options now?
- To reset my current iPad to clear those video deletion records/activities so I can re-enable iCloud Photos sync now or anytime in the future.
- In the future if I ever got a new iPad, do I set it up as a new iPad and don’t transfer data from my current iPad (so that those deletion records never makes it to my new IPad), and then I can enable iCloud Photos sync on my new iPad?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
